Ingredients (for about 20 Turkish delights)

  • 250 g sugar
  • 200 ml water
  • 40 g cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons of Alimad Rose Water
  • icing sugar (for coating)
  • a little cornstarch to prevent the Turkish delights from sticking

Preparation

  1. In a saucepan, combine the sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  2. Bring to a boil and let cook for a few minutes.
  3. In a bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in a little cold water.
  4. Add this mixture to the saucepan and stir constantly until you obtain a thick, translucent texture.
  5. Add the Alimad Rose Water and mix well.
  6. Pour the mixture into a lightly oiled mold.
  7. Let cool for several hours.
  8. Cut into small cubes and roll in a mixture of icing sugar and cornstarch.
