
Ingredients (for about 20 servings)
- 1 pack of filo pastry
- 200 g crushed pistachios or walnuts
- 150 g melted butter
- 50 g sugar
For the syrup
- 200 ml water
- 150 g sugar
- 2 tablespoons of orange blossom water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Brush a baking dish with melted butter.
- Place a sheet of filo pastry, brush it with butter, and repeat the process for several layers.
- Add a layer of crushed nuts mixed with sugar.
- Cover with several buttered filo pastry sheets.
- Repeat the process until all ingredients are used.
- Cut the baklava into diamonds or squares before baking.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
Prepare the syrup
- Heat the water, sugar, and lemon juice for a few minutes.
- Add the orange blossom water off the heat.
Finishing
- Pour the hot syrup over the still hot baklava.
- Let it rest for several hours so the flavors can develop.
